Membership – the Foundation for Nonprofit Success!

Why Membership?

Because nonprofit organizations that last are built on the passion and commitment of their Members.

Over the last five years we have gotten together across the USA, talked with hundreds of New Warriors and their families, and sponsored organizational development research [learn more about the Stanford ACT research]. In searching the soul of the ManKind Project, one thing was clear above all else; men and women love this work … and they want to see it survive for the next generations.

Then we asked a fundamental question – a ‘What’s at Risk’ question – Would we survive as an organization doing things the way we have always done them? The answer we got back from MBA business and nonprofit experts, organizational development experts, and real world case studies of other organizations … was NO. Without changes in the structure, funding, and professional infrastructure, it was very unlikely that the ManKind Project USA would continue to function for the next ten years, much less the next 25.

We decided together, in councils and circles, to take the risk of choosing something different. The transition to a strong and healthy Membership based Nonprofit Organization, with professional planning, professional staff, and clear long term strategies and financing is under way. We want your help, we need your help to make it happen.

Our grandsons are waiting. Our granddaughters are watching.
What we do right now, today, is penultimately important to our future as a culture.

I’m a New Warrior – aren’t I already a Member of MKP USA?

No. On a Saturday night, some time in the past, you claimed your place as New Warrior. You will hold that distinction for the rest of your life. And because of that victory, you are eligible to receive all the benefits that come with being a New Warrior; staffing trainings, participating in community events and councils, sitting in I-Group, access to our world-class leadership training programs, and more. Membership in MKP USA is about making a commitment to the future of our work in the world, about being a part of something far bigger than yourself and taking action to make sure that what you experienced will be here for the generations to come.

Is Membership in MKP USA open to anyone?

YES. Any person who supports our mission of making the world a safer place by growing better men is welcome to become a Member of MKP USA.

What do I get for becoming a Member of MKP USA?

We will sign you up for our ‘CHECK IN!’ Newsletter, a single email sent every three weeks, to keep our Members up to date about how we are doing in pursuit of our vision, and to share inspiring stories and information from across the United States. As our Membership grows, we anticipate that we will begin offering other Membership benefits for those choosing to commit themselves to our cause.
