Ragbrai Sponsorship

Dear Supporter,
The MKP-USA RAGBRAI Cycling Team is a group of almost 50 ManKind Project members and supporters in our second year of participation in RAGBRAI.

Please look over the 2013_MKP_USA_RAGBRAI_MKPUSA slides, and view the slideshow down below.

The ManKind Project www.mankindproject.org was founded almost 30 years ago, and now has 32 men’s communities in the U.S. and growing communities in eight global regions now covering over 15 countries. The ManKind Project USA (MKP USA) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) educational and training organization. We are not affiliated with any religious practice or political party. We strive to be increasingly diverse and inclusive.

MKP USA is building and supporting the emotionally mature, accountable and compassionate male leaders and role models that our communities so desperately need.

The media has all too many examples of men acting out, with devastating results. We’re here to change the culture that raises our boys to become disconnected and dangerous men. Our children deserve better care and attention, women are waiting for us to be better partners, protectors, and caregivers, and the planet is waiting for healthy leadership.

The ManKind Project is dedicated to creating a new way of being for men. We strive to live lives of honesty and integrity, not just when it is convenient, but all the time. We hold ourselves and each other accountable for how we show up in the world.

Over 50,000 men over the last three decades have taken the risk to wake up, grow up, and show up as the mature men they want to be. We have done much to make the world better in all of our small corners http://menlivingmission.com. We believe it’s time to reach further into the culture. We are showing up on bicycles at Ragbrai with our message written across our jerseys and over our hearts. “Changing the World One Man at a Time.”

This is why MKP USA is looking for support and Sponsorships. We want help to let the world know that a better way is possible. The Mankind Project USA is an organization of dedicated volunteers, with a small paid staff.

Please consider giving the ManKind Project the support that we need to make the world a better place for our children and grandchildren.

We are grateful for all the help and support you may be able extend.

With much appreciation
The ManKind Project USA

Two notables in the last months:

Men from the ManKind Project were interviewed by CBS Sunday for a feature on the “Science of Friendships,” talking about the power and health benefits of men’s friendships.

Over 100 ManKind Project supporters participated in the taping of Oprah’s Lifeclass with Iyanla Vanzant on “Fatherless Sons.” Several MKP men offered powerful testimonials to their experience with MKP. The show premiered on May 5 on the OWN Network.

Could it be that in the twenty-fifth century, some elder historian is going to be telling stories?  He’s going to say that it came to pass that in the later years of the twentieth century a small band of men of different races, from different walks of life, woke up.  They looked around and they saw what time it was and knew how desperate the situation was and how bad the odds were that they could do the work that needed to be done.  Nevertheless they said yes to this challenge, and children, though we cannot remember their names, we are eternally grateful to them.  Author Robert Moore

The ManKind Project is a global nonprofit [501 (c)(3)] charitable organization that conducts challenging and highly rewarding programs for men at every stage of life. The ManKind Project supports a global network of peer-facilitated men's groups where men mentor men through the passages of their lives. The ManKind Project empowers men to missions of service, supporting men to make a difference in the lives of men, women, and children around the world. We help men through any transition, men at all levels of success, men facing almost any challenge. Our flagship training, described by many as the most powerful men's training available, is the New Warrior Training Adventure. The ManKind Project (MKP) is not affiliated with any religious practice or political party. We strive to be increasingly inclusive and culturally aware.
