You have likely heard the phrase “A society grows great when old men plant trees in whose shade they know they shall never sit”. There are variations to this proverb as are the attributions of its origins. Nonetheless, the message reminds all of us that our legacy is what we leave behind.

For men who have completed the New Warrior Training Adventure we are reminded that realization of our Life Mission is beyond our mortal life. I suspect that the real motivation for the Life Mission is not recognition; rather leaving the World better than how we found it for the generations that come after us.

As you reflect on your life, at any stage, imagine how different it might be had the NWTA not existed. You know how the work transformed your life and you have invited men to attend a NWTA because you experienced a new way of being.

As an organization, MKPUSA depends on men inviting men to the NWTA, living their Mission, volunteering at MKP events, and paying it forward with membership financial contributions. There is an additional way to continue the transformative work of MKP by planning a Legacy Gift from your estate to MKPUSA. All forms of estate planning gifts make a difference. A financial bequest can be a specified financial gift, the proceeds from life insurance policies, and the proceeds from the sale of property, from investments, and pension assets to name a few.
