MKP USA Organizational Structure

In August 2014, the ManKind Project USA Board of Directors formally adopted Holacracy(TM) (https://www.holacracy.org/) as the operating structure to fulfill the ManKind Project USA mission. From 2014 to 2017, MKP USA Support Services, the hybrid operational structure of the nonprofit organization consisting of volunteers, contractors, and paid employees, operated under the Holacracy Constitution, using governance and tactical meetings. During this time, MKP USA expanded the number of effective working groups, sped the completion of projects, and more efficiently utilized the efforts of volunteers across the country.

In December 2017, the ManKind Project USA Board voted to expand adopt the Holacracy Constitution and an updated set of by-laws as the legal, governing, and operational structure for the United States Region. In December 2020, a working group altered that Constitution to better meet the unique needs, strengths, and limitations of the organization, and the Board re-adopted this adapted, Holacracy-based Operating System and continues to utilize this structure today.
