Hafiz reminded us of a basic truth of humanity:
“Admit something. Everyone you see, you say to them, “Love me.”
Our deepest hope is that they will respond in kind.
This is the nature of community and tribe, living among others who can truly see and appreciate and understand and celebrate us.
Yet our culture tends to reinforce the idea that we are alone and separate and unsafe, and that hiding out and laying low is the best bet.
The truth is we need each other…it’s deep in us.
It’s literally crucial for our health and survival.
The call to become conscious community-builders is growing louder by the day…to be Tribe builders, to create safe places within the craziness of our world.
