FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 17, 2013

The ManKind Project USA is proud to announce the hiring of Scott McGregor from the MKP Santa Barbara community as MKP USA Finance Director.

McGregor brings over 20 years of accounting and finance experience in for profit and nonprofit organizations, in addition to a long history of personal development leadership with the ManKind Project and a number of other well-known organizations and teachers.

McGregor has most recently served as the Business Manager for the County of Santa Barbara Public Defender’s Office as well as the Business Manager for the Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation Department. He holds a PhD in Accounting and Business Finance Management and was an instructor in the Business School at Florida State University.

Scott takes the reins from Jon Levitt, who has served as the interim Financial Director for the last 18 months. Levitt will remain active in a volunteer role as the Development Director for the ManKind Project USA, continuing his outreach, community, and relationship building efforts across the country.

The ManKind Project USA has undergone profound positive changes in our financial reality in the last two years, thanks to the efforts of men across the USA who have stepped up with time, talent and resources. Their efforts have set us on a course to sustainability and have helped us build a professional organization to steward a diverse, heart-strong, and accountable ManKind Project USA.

The MKP USA Board of Directors welcomes McGregor to the MKP USA Staff. McGregor will use the next weeks to familiarize himself with our systems and get acclimated. He will be on board full time on July 1st.
