BOOK DISCUSSIONS WITH DOUGLAS GILLETTE!

This is an on-going series of conversations, via Zoom, around different themes in our human journeys through the lush landscapes of our spiritual and psychological lives.

• Each Book Discussion SECTION will be 8 weeks.
• Each individual SESSION of those 8 weeks will be 90 minutes long.
• Sessions will be Thursday mornings from 10:00 – 11:30 CST.

The first Book Discussion SECTION
is titled “The Intimate Strangeness of Death and Dying.“

We’ll use 2 books and part of another:

1. Eve Joseph’s “In the Slender Margin: The Intimate Strangeness of Death and Dying”;
2. David Kessler’s “Visions, Trips, and Crowded Rooms”; and
3. J.R.R. Tolkien’s short story “Leaf by Niggle” from his book “Tree and Leaf.”

​This first 8-week SECTION will start on January 18th, 2024, and end on March 7th, 2024.

Then, there’ll be a two or three-week interlude before we start the next SECTION, to give time to re-sign up.

The fee for each 8-week SECTION is $50.00, which you can mail to me (Doug) at 2301 Thorntree Lane, Palatine, IL 60067, or Zelle to my wife’s phone—773-330-7764.

We will need to have your email address to get the link before the first meeting. 

I’m very excited about facilitating our adventures together on the edge of Mystery (which, I take it, is where all our lives actually are).
