Writing an introduction email is always awkward for me. It reminds me of the first day at a new elementary school – when I was the new kid, and the teacher would make me stand in front of the class and tell the other kids my name and a little bit about myself.

Who is Matt Kelly?

Here goes. I’m Matt Kelly and I’m emailing you because I’ll be writing the Answer the Call articles and email for the ManKind Project (MKP). I initiated (did the New Warrior Training Adventure) at Kamp Kiwanis near Gallup, New Mexico in May of 2008. I was a part of the Southwest MKP community until last fall when my partner, Cheri, and I moved to the Northwest – Portland, Oregon.

Becoming A Better Man

The New Warrior Training Adventure (NWTA) and being active in MKP is the most important thing I have ever done for myself. I’m a better father, husband, friend, and man because of my experiences, introspection, and learning over the past decade with this brotherhood of men.

I’m grateful to be a Full Leader of New Warrior Training Adventure and an MKP Leader Trainer for The Container of Leadership and Burden & Blessing of Leadership workshops.

My Commitment

I’ll be writing articles and sharing them with you via email on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month.

Some of the topics we’ll explore are:

  • Accountability
  • Authenticity
  • Compassion
  • Generosity
  • Integrity
  • Intercultural Competency
  • Leadership
  • Respect
  • Healthy Masculinity

My writing will be focused on us becoming the best version of ourselves – No, I don’t have it all figured out. Some things, yes. Everything? Hell no.

Let’s Connect

I mean it. Hit reply and let me know what you’re thinking. If you like an article or email – or don’t, I want to know. If you want to connect or just see if I really answer emails – hit reply.

When I ask questions, I’d like to hear from you because connecting is part of my mission. My mission is to create a world where souls dance by slowing down and connecting.

Hit Reply, Now

Introduce yourself. I’d love to know your name, where you’re from, and what inspired you to want to learn more about the ManKind Project or The New Warrior Training Adventure?

I’m looking forward to sharing this journey with you.

Go Answer the Call,

Matt
