Elbert JamisonPersonal Mission:

My Mission is to Create a Safe World by Loving and Accepting Myself and Others.

Action in the World:

Elbert has been involved with Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACA) for over 20 years. Adult Children of Alcoholics is a recovery program for adults whose lives were affected as a result of being raised in an alcoholic or other dysfunctional family. It is based on the success of Alcoholics Anonymous and employs its version of the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions. As an example of the depth of his leadership and service to ACA, he has served in various positions on the board of the ACA Intergroup of Metro Detroit for the last ten years, doing outreach and organizing, programming, budgeting and executing the ACA community’s annual Retreats and Workshops. Elbert and his wife, Jane routinely sponsor others in the program of Adult Children of Alcoholics. In addition to his ACA involvement, Elbert also hosts in his home a Community Drumming Circle.
