The ManKind Project Northwest serves men, and and gives us opportunities to serve. MKP Northwest is the regional council of the Mankind Project for northern California, Oregon, Washington, and western Idaho.

We bring men together through the New Warrior Training Adventure weekends, Men’s open circle meetings, and ongoing leadership development workshops. MKP Northwest creates a place where men can show up, examine their lives, and grow into the larger vision that each of us has of his life as a man.

We strive to meet men where they are, regardless of ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, class, education or background. We celebrate our similarities and differences, and learn from each other. We’re committed to holding each man to his highest standards. We challenge and support each other to be and do our best as men, to be fully awake in our lives, and to act with compassion and intention.

“And so I appeal to a voice, to something shadowy,
a remote region in all who talk:
though we could fool each other, we should consider –
lest the parade of our mutual life get lost in the dark.

For it is important that awake people be awake,
or a breaking line may discourage them back to sleep;
the signals we give — yes or no, or maybe —
should be clear: the darkness around us is deep.”
