Innovative Arizona men’s training to provide rare opportunity for men with disabilities

The ManKind Project (MKP) Southwest has announced its next BARRIER FREE New Warrior Training Adventure (NWTA) to be held May 3-5, 2024 at Sleeping Dog Ranch north of Prescott, AZ.

The groundbreaking training is designed to include men of varying physical abilities and challenges, including those involving mobility, vision and hearing. The Barrier Free NWTA was first offered in 2019 for men who might not otherwise be able to have this kind of transformative experience.

“This NWTA will give men with disabilities a chance to participate in a breakthrough weekend of connection, learning and empowerment with highly experienced MKP staff members from across the country,” says Sleeping Dog Ranch host Dee Spitler. “We want all men to have the opportunity to reach their full potential.”

The ManKind Project is an international non-profit organization focused on modern male initiation, self-awareness, and personal growth. Since its founding in 1984, MKP has offered thousands of trainings around the world, helping over 75,000 men live lives of integrity, accountability, empowerment and connection.

Sleeping Dog Ranch is located approximately 2-1/2 hours north of Phoenix. Transportation to and from the airport is available, as are personal assistants for the weekend and financial aid for participants in need. No man will be turned away for lack of funding.

For more information or to register for the training, visit https://barrierfree.mkpusa.org or call Adam Logan, a deaf MKP member, at his TRS number, 503-400-6285.
